Healing Arizona Veterans is Making Strides

Healing Arizona Veterans (HAV) has made strides in the past six years. It needs your donations to continue this positive trend.

HAV was designated a 501(c)(3) charity in 2017. Since then, the charity has raised over $1.5 million from private donors. The donations were used to sponsor the treatment of Veterans suffering from Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) utilizing Hyperbaric Oxygen Treatment (HBOT).

A successful treatment protocol for Veterans requires 40 to 80 one-hour HBOT sessions over two to four months. Since 2017, 67 veterans have been fully treated via HAV sponsorship, and 71 are in the process of completing treatment. HAV has funded more than 7,900 HBOT sessions to achieve this level of success.

The total treatment cost per Veteran is $20,000. This includes up to 80 sessions, pre-treatment and post-treatment assessments, and diagnostics. Over the past six years, HAV’s administrative (non-treatment) costs have averaged below 5%. The charity achieves this with the help of an all-volunteer Board member and Senior staff. Maintaining low administrative costs ensures that 95 cents out of every donated dollar is used for treatment, which makes HAV unique among charities.

All treated Veterans have significantly improved their personal lives and interactions with their family, colleagues, and friends. Check out the testimonials or click to donate.
