March was a successful fundraising month for Healing Arizona Veterans with two organizations providing donations:
Empower Coalition provided HAV with a check for $6,510. Empower coalition’s mission is to improve lives in the greater Tucson community by empowering charitable organizations with resources necessary to carrying out their missions.
Empower Coalition raises funds for veteran charities through an annual event at the Tucson Beefsteak.
The third Tucson Beefsteak was presented by The Volpe Team at NOVA Home Loans on February 16, 2019. This year’s event featured an updated menu with all you can eat beef and other wonderful culinary delights, complimentary local craft beer from, live auction, amazing raffle, entertainment, and so much more in a one of a kind fundraising event.
In its first event in 2017, Tucson Beefsteak, Empower Coalition was proud to giveaway $60,000. In 2018, Empower Coalition raised over $110,000. The goal for 2019 was to raise more than $200,000.
Pyramid Federal Credit Union (Speedway Branch) provided HAV with a check for $714 as the February charity of the month. The monthly donations are raised through its program Caring is in Our Jeans.
PFCU provides support to the community from youth sport leagues to the Rotary Club; scholarships to cancer research, Pyramid Federal Credit Union is proud to share its time and resources with community charities and organizations dedicated to bringing joy and support to all Tucson residents.
