Commander John Scott Hannon Veterans Mental Health Care Improvement Act

The US Senate requested the US House a letter to the immediate attention and passage of S.785, the Commander John Scott Hannon Veterans Mental Health Care Improvement Act. (Download here)

This bipartisan legislation, sponsored by fifty-four U.S. Senators was developed with and is supported by nearly forty veterans service organizations, mental health patient advocacy groups and entities who serve veterans in communities across the nation 

The essence of the bill is to partner with non-Federal agencies to provide Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy to veterans and studies on the use of such therapy for treatment of PTSD and TBI (Read the House working draft SEC 702).
